Mohed Altrad: "There is no longer any question of making cutbacks or retreating for the MHR"

INTERVIEW - President of the MHR for the past ten years, the businessman has not given up on taking his club to the top. He confides in Le Figaro.

It has been an eventful season for Montpellier. Nine defeats, and only three victories, for Xavier Garbajosa, coach sacked at the beginning of January and replaced by Philippe Saint-André. After a difficult start (five defeats, but all with a defensive bonus), he managed to revive the machine (eight victories in a row) to save the club from relegation - the MHR has to take 2 points in 3 days to ensure its survival - and lead it to the Challenge Cup final. It will face Leicester on Friday (9pm) at Twickenham. Before entering his team's sanitary bubble to be allowed to accompany them to London, Mohed Altrad spoke to Le Figaro.

LE FIGARO. - After the difficulties experienced for most of the season, this Challenge Cup final is an unexpected gift?

Mohed ALTRAD - You could call it that, yes. We are finally showing our true face since Philippe Saint-André took over the team. It is a happy development.
